This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, tracking or advertising. Nothing you do here is profiled or passed to anyone for marketing. Every page, image and typeface is served from our own domain, so simply reading this site contacts nobody but us. The only outside code anywhere on it is the anti-bot check on the contact form.
Who we are
Food Team International Ltd is the data controller for the information described below. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 05324059, registered office 3 Calverley Street, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 2BZ, United Kingdom.
For anything to do with your personal information, including the requests described under Your rights, contact us at info@foodteamltd.com or on +44 (0)1892 337 300.
This notice covers the personal information we collect through this website. If you go on to become a customer or supplier, the information we hold as part of that trading relationship is handled separately. Ask us and we will explain how.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why we have it | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, company, email address, whether you are a customer, supplier or other, and whatever you write in the enquiry box | So we can read your enquiry, reply to it, and carry on the conversation | Legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you chose to send us |
| Your IP address and basic browser information, at the moment you submit the form | To confirm the form is being used by a person rather than a bot, and to stop one sender flooding it | Legitimate interests: keeping the enquiry form working and free of abuse |
The enquiry form is the only place this website asks you for anything. Everything else on the site can be read without giving us any information at all.
When you submit an enquiry we send an acknowledgement to the email address you gave, so you know it arrived. We do not add you to a mailing list and we will not email you about anything other than your enquiry.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of established suppliers to run the website and deliver email. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the anti-bot check on the form, and holds the short-lived counters that limit how often the form can be submitted.
- Resend delivers your enquiry to our inbox and sends you the acknowledgement.
- Microsoft provides our email, where your enquiry is then read and answered.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where it is held
Enquiries are processed and stored in the UK and the European Economic Area wherever our suppliers offer that option. Some of them, including Cloudflare, are based in the United States and may process information there. Where information leaves the UK, it is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires for international transfers. In practice that is the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your enquiry and our correspondence about it: for as long as we are in contact with you about it, and for up to six years after our last contact. Six years reflects the period in which a contract claim can be brought and business records may be required.
- The anti-flooding counters: automatically deleted within 24 hours. They are never linked to your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete it, where we no longer need it;
- restrict what we do with it while a question about it is resolved;
- stop using it: because we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object at any time;
- provide it in a portable form, where that right applies.
Email info@foodteamltd.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. We may need to check who you are before we act.
Keeping it secure
The site is served over an encrypted connection, enquiries are transmitted encrypted, and access to the inbox they arrive in is restricted to the people who need it and protected by multi-factor authentication.
If you are unhappy
Please tell us first, because most things are quickest to put right directly. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
